Fall is getting into full-swing!  The leaves are about the change and the air is turning cooler. The crisp breeze makes it feel like I’m breathing newer, “cleaner” air for some reason. Ahhh.   What a great change from the never ending humidity of Florida!
And so, just around the corner, that mid-fall “holiday” will arrive. Yes, I’m talking about Halloween. I’ve got to say, I’ve never been a huge fan. Of course as a kid, I would gladly participate in anything that resulted in free candy… but as I got older, it became less and less important to me. A celebration of dark, strange and scary things just doesn’t appeal to me.  It dawned on me the other day… that a day that tends to center around fear (and being frightened), could actually be a reminder that our faith, hope and trust in God should prevent us from truly “fearing” anything this world can throw at us. And so, my un-Halloween idea was born. I coupled my own arachnophobia with the knowledge that fear doesn’t have any power over us and kept it in “Halloween” colors for fun!
Feel free to download and print on white cardstock. Trim to 8×10 and enjoy the reminder yourself!
